Nadia Noemí Franco Bazán

Dr. Franco holds an undergraduate degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad de Panamá (1999). She completed a specialization in Criminal Science at the Universidad de Panamá Institute for the Criminal Sciences in 2000. In addition, she holds a graduate certificate in Advanced Teaching from Universidad Latina de Panamá (2000), a master’s degree in Legal Practice from Universidad de Salamanca (2004), a master’s degree in Law with a focus on Criminal Law from ULACIT (2013), a master’s degree in Procedure Law from Universidad Americana de Panamá (2014) and a graduate degree in Criminal Procedure Law with a focus on the constitutional principles, guarantees and rules that serve as the basis for the adversarial system from INEJ (2014).
Dr. Franco also is a Doctor of Law with a degree from Universidad de Salamanca (2014), a master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law from INEJ (2015), a graduate degree in the Adversarial Criminal Justice System from UDELAS (2016) and a master’s degree in Legal Security and Criminal Justice in Ibero-America from Universidad de Salamanca (2021).
She is completing her thesis for a master’s degree in Criminal Science Studies at the Universidad de Panamá Institute for the Criminal Sciences (ICRUP). Dr. Franco has taught the Criminal Science course to three cohorts in the master’s degree program in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH). She is currently teaching in the undergraduate program in Law and Political Science and the master’s degree programs in Procedure Law, Adversarial Criminal Justice, Labor Law and Commercial Law at ISAE Universidad.
Dr. Franco also teaches Criminal Procedure Law at the Centro Regional Universitario San Miguelito (CRUSAM) School of Law and Political Science at Universidad de Panamá and is the coordinator of the master’s degree in Law with a focus on Criminal Law at the same institution. She is also the President of the International Legal Training and Research Center of Central America (CIFIJ Centroamérica), the Director of CIP Lex Panamá, and the President of the National Union of Attorneys of Panama (UNA).
