Maytrie Kuldip Singh
Board Member (Surinam)

Ms. Kuldip Singh earned a law degree from the University of Suriname in 2000. She worked as a jurist in a human rights NGO for several years. In 2004, she was selected as a judge in training and participated in a five year program subsidized by the Netherlands and Suriname. 

In 2009, she was appointed as a full member of the High Court in Suriname. After her appointment as a judge, she has been involved with several activities such as being her country’s focal point in the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officials (CAJO). 

Currently, she is also involved in training court clerks and acts as a judge in criminal court where she investigates human rights violations eg trafficking in persons and anti corruption cases.
