Doctor (c) in Jurisprudence with an undergraduate degree in the Public and Social Sciences and master’s degrees in International Cooperation and Constitutional Law. She is an Advanced Specialist in Administrative Law and earned an Advanced Certificate in International Conflict Analysis. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Law. She has served her country in the public sphere for 20 years as Prosecutor, Assistant Prosecutor and legal advisor in various government institutions as well as a judge on the Constitutional Court of Ecuador.
She also has a great deal of teaching experience and has presented at national and international seminars and fora at public and private institutions and universities.
She was the first woman to preside over the Council of the Judiciary of the Republic of Ecuador. and was recently appointed to the Ibero-American Judicial Summit Ethics Commission.
