JSCA will participate in the IX Summit of the Americas 2022

The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) will participate in the IX Summit of the Americas 2022, which will take place in June 2022 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The Summit will bring together the Heads of State and Government of the Member States of the Organization of American States (OAS) to address common concerns and adopt concerted commitments to strengthen democratic governance and promote a sustainable and equitable future in the Americas.

JSCA will participate in this event in its capacity as an intergovernmental organization created by the General Assembly of the OAS and whose mandate is to provide technical assistance to the States of the Americas, Judiciaries, Public Prosecutors’ Offices and other justice institutions to promote the implementation of reforms and modernization of the justice systems and to follow up on these processes.

Within the framework of the Summit, JSCA, in collaboration with the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and México Evalúa, is organizing a parallel event: the international forum “Innovating for a more open and digital justice system”. The objective of the forum will be to promote a dialogue on best practices, lessons learned and opportunities for improvement to achieve an integrated and sustained progress towards an open and digital justice system in the Americas.
