What We Do?

CEJA is an international organization specializing in justice systems in the Americas, created by the OAS in 1999. It conducts technical studies and generates empirical evidence; provides specialized training; offers technical assistance to Governments, Judiciaries, Public Prosecutors’ Offices, and other justice institutions; and facilitates inter-American cooperation and the exchange of experiences and best practices at the regional level.

Studies and Generation of Comparative Evidence

We conduct national and comparative research that produces technical evidence to strengthen justice systems, promoting reforms and improvements based on data, institutional efficiency, and regional best practices.

Specialized Training

We provide training and specialization programs that strengthen the technical and ethical capacities of those who are part of the justice systems in the Americas, with an applied, practical approach oriented towards transforming justice.

Technical Assistance

We assist justice institutions with expert and multidisciplinary support to identify opportunities for improvement, design innovative solutions, and optimize their processes and services. We adapt to national contexts and strengthen capacities to achieve a more efficient, accessible, and transparent justice.

Exchange of Best Practices and Lessons Learned

We facilitate the exchange of experiences, best practices, and lessons learned among institutions and individuals in the judicial field, driving continuous improvement, institutional innovation, and evidence-based decision-making.
