The Governor of Chaco , Argentina, Jorge Capitanich, together with JSCA’s Director of Training, Leonel González, evaluated the plan to modernize Chaco’s justice system. They also discussed the need to analyze strategies and options in the criminal procedure system and the development of projects for the Civil Jury Manual and Diploma in Jury Trials.

The meeting was held on the afternoon of Monday 21, via videoconference, and with the presence of the Undersecretary of Justice, Lourdes Polo Budzovsky, the Minister of Justice and Security, Gloria Salazar and the Undersecretary of Security and Justice Planning, Leandro Alvarez. The objective was “to evaluate reform initiatives within the judicial system of the province that we have implemented in this period” said Capitanich.

It should be noted that JSCA worked on the initial project of what later became the Jury Trial Law and corresponding diploma courses for lawyers and judges in this area.
