Institutional value
With a track record of over 26 years, the Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) is recognized as a leading technical and regional authority on justice transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its institutional value lies in its ability to generate comparative knowledge, strengthen capacities, and support judicial reforms that have contributed to consolidating more modern, transparent, and people-centered justice systems.
CEJA's institutional value is also reflected in the recognition of the regional and international legal community, which identifies it as an institution of academic and technical excellence.
Its capacity to articulate regional cooperation, disseminate good practices and promote innovative solutions has consolidated it as a unique space for meeting, dialogue and action, aimed at transforming justice in the Americas and strengthening citizen trust in its institutions.
Throughout its history, CEJA has demonstrated that strengthening justice requires evidence, cooperation, and shared learning. Its work has had a tangible impact on the region: it has driven judicial reforms in more than twenty countries, trained over 60,000 justice system professionals, and promoted standards of independence, access, and efficiency that are now benchmarks in the hemisphere. This recognition is based on its technical rigor, institutional independence, and commitment to the democratic values that underpin the rule of law.
