About Us
The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) is an international agency created by the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS). Its mission is to support the reform and modernization of the justice systems of the Americas. We provide technical assistance to governments, judiciaries and other justice institutions, formulate technical studies, and provide specialized training for operators and public policymakers in the field of justice.

What are the internship requirements?

  • Applicants must be students in their last two years of undergraduate studies or recent graduates in the fields of law, administration, economics, international relations, political science, sociology, journalism or graphic design.
  • Applicants must be highly motivated to learn and contribute to strengthening justice in the Americas.
  • Advanced English (accredited)
  • Applicants must be available for 4 hours per day.
  • Internet connection.

Individuals with the following characteristics are especially encouraged to apply.

  • Prior experience in public institutions, international agencies or NGOs that work in the fields of justice administration, human rights, transparency or related topics.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese.
  • Applicants who can provide a letter of reference from their university.

Internship Period and Certification
All internships will begin on March 7 and end on August 31, 2022.
JSCA will issue a certificate of participation to each intern at the end of their internship. JSCA may also provide a letter of reference based on the intern’s performance.

Our internship program offers no payment, economic compensation or remuneration.
