\"\"Today our Executive Director, Nataly Ponce, met with the National Prosecutor of Chile, Jorge Abbott. Among other topics, they discussed the criminal analysis system and investigative focuses, as well as the gender policy of the Chilean Public Prosecutor’s Office, the use of pretrial detention and the situation of women in the context of criminal prosecution.<\/p>\n

Both authorities agreed on the importance of promoting systems of integrity, transparency and accountability of the Public Prosecutor’s Offices in the Americas, as well as international cooperation between States, particularly to confront transnational organized crime.<\/p>\n

Jorge Abbott and Nataly Ponce expressed their interest in strengthening collaborative ties between the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Chile and JSCA, and agreed on a joint agenda for the current year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
