{"id":5789,"date":"2021-05-04T07:10:37","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T10:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cejamericas.org\/?p=5789"},"modified":"2025-12-05T17:08:47","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T17:08:47","slug":"international-call-for-applications-for-the-position-of-executive-director-2022-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cejamericas.org\/en\/2021\/05\/04\/international-call-for-applications-for-the-position-of-executive-director-2022-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"International Call for Applications for the  position of Executive Director (2022-2025)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cejamericas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ceja-twitter-en-1024x513.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6027\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cejamericas.org\">www.cejamericas.org<\/a>, an international organization created by the inter-American system to support justice system transformation processes throughout the region, announces this <strong>International Call for Applications for the Position of Executive Director<\/strong> of the institution for the period <strong>2022-2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Director is responsible for directing the Center\u2019s areas, staff and financial resources at the executive level in fulfillment of the institutional mission, multi-year strategic objectives, plans of action and the annual budgets approved by the Board of Directors, as well as the objectives of projects agreed to with donor institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Main responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To plan the institution\u2019s activities.<\/li><li>To manage the Center\u2019s relationships with governments and justice sector institutions.<\/li><li>To manage relationships with the members of the Board of Directors.<\/li><li>To seek out funding and manage relationships with funding sources.<\/li><li>To hire, oversee and evaluate the institutions\u2019 staff.<\/li><li>To supervise the administration of the institution.<\/li><li>To serve as the institution&#8217;s legal representative.<\/li><li>To oversee and participate in the Center\u2019s research, studies, projects, and training programs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The position must be served at JSCA\u2019s headquarters, in Santiago de Chile. The successful candidate will begin its duties on 2 January 2022. The person selected must be available for an in-person transition period, beginning at the end of October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conditions and requirements of the position are listed on the application website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cejamericas.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.cejamericas.org<\/a>.
