On November 5, Germany\u2019s Federal Ministry of Foreign Relations will hold a digital event to present the project \u201cPromoting the Rule of Law in the Northern Triangle.\u201d The purpose of the event is to analyze and raise the profile of challenges in the area of justice and security in the Northern Triangle of Central America, which includes Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official statement indicates that the conference, which is being organized in the context of Germany\u2019s presidency of the European Union Council, is to generate a conversation about the rule of law, examining the challenges posed to the region\u2019s legal systems and useful approaches for political and institutional stabilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be held as a virtual panel discussion and will be broadcast online. It will feature experts on the topic, representatives of public and scientific institutions, international foundations and organizations, civil society organizations, and the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Marian Schuegraf, will offer opening remarks. She will be joined by Minister of State Niels Annen of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
