The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (CEJA) presented to the Committee on Juridical and Political Affairs (CAJP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) the Collaborative Roadmap between CEJA and the OAS, strategic document that defines coordinated cooperation agenda between our institution and seven Secretariats, Departments, and bodies of the Organization. <\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Roadmap<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>aims<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>strengthen<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>justice<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>democracy<\/span>, human\u00a0<\/span>rights<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>institutional<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>sustainability<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>across<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>region<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Structured around five strategic pillars<\/strong>\u2014justice and governance; access to rights and gender equality; security and organized crime; innovation and judicial training; and institutional sustainability\u2014the Roadmap establishes a common and collaborative framework for action between CEJA and key OAS bodies such as the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR)<\/strong>, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights<\/strong>, the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM)<\/strong>, the Department of International Law (DIL)<\/strong>, and the Office of Civil Society Relations (OCSR),<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n

Developed in compliance with the mandate of the OAS General Assembly (Resolution AG\/RES. 3029 \u2013 LIV-O\/24<\/strong>), this Roadmap represents an institutional milestone that guides joint efforts between CEJA and the OAS to advance the strengthening of the rule of law in the Americas.<\/p>\n

During the CAJP session, CEJA\u2019s Executive Director, Nataly Ponce<\/strong>, officially presented the document and stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis instrument constitutes the institutional response to the mandate of the OAS General Assembly and reinforces our commitment to strengthening democracy, the rule of law, and access to justice in the Americas.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The presentation received recognition and congratulations from the Presidency of the CAJP, as well as from the representatives of Chile, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador, Brazil, and Colombia, who commended CEJA\u2019s technical contributions and integrative vision.<\/p>\n

The Roadmap includes a schedule of nineteen joint activities, encompassing training programs, comparative research, and the promotion of interinstitutional dialogue spaces. Within this framework, CEJA has already initiated a collaborative process with the Office of Civil Society Relations of the OAS General Secretariat.<\/p>\n

Through this initiative, CEJA reaffirms its commitment to the mandate of the OAS and its role as a specialized technical body in the strengthening of justice systems throughout the continent, consolidating its regional leadership in promoting a more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable justice.<\/p>\n
