The member states of the Organization of American States (OAS) elected a new member of the Board of Directors for the Justice Studies Center of the Americas from 2024 – 2026 by means of a vote at its General Assembly. JSCA is a technical body based in Santiago, Chile, whose mission is to provide technical support to OAS member countries in the process of reforming their justice systems.<\/p>\n
At the OAS General Assembly, Bruno Alberto Novoa Campos, was elected. Mr. Novoa is a Peruvian lawyer from the Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca with a master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n
Bruno Novoa has a specialization in Administrative Law from the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa and has taken refresher courses in “Justice” and “American Government” at Harvard Law School, Harvard X and Harvard Extension School as well as in “Comparative equality and anti-discrimination Law” at Stanford online.<\/p>\n
He has served as a consultant for the Center for Justice and Human Rights Studies of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Academic Director of the Academy of the Magistracy and Director of the Judicial Research Center of the Judiciary, where he served as representative before the Technical Council for the Reform of the Peruvian Justice System.<\/p>\n
Currently, Mr. Novoa is an advisor to different public entities and teaches Constitutional Law and Human Rights at prestigious undergraduate and postgraduate universities. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Peruvian Association of Constitutional Law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
